LTE internet speeds inconsistent

I switched to Verizon LTE earlier this year in April this year. the gateway was replaced on day two. The system generally has OK since then with a few instances of slow speeds causing temporary streaming freeze ups and failures. However in four of the last 10 days, the speeds (typically for several hours at various times of the day) have ranged for zero to 50 mbps (excellent performance when at this speed). In most cases during the slow down the mbps ranges from zero to 5 mbps. In many cases the speed test result is "Your speed is not quite up to our standard" with the speed noted at NA.
I have has several communications with technical support but the sporadic unacceptable internet speeds remain an issue.
The speed inconsistency is not at all acceptable and I have considered going to another provider. I honestly prefer to stay with Verizon if possible but need consistency with the service.
I am waiting until my area can handle more Home 5G internet which is what I was expecting in April when I switched from Comcast. I have Verizon 5G phones and they are fine.
