Verizon gateway

So I used verizon home internet for 1 year.

cancelled it on June 2024.

received an email frim Verizon confirming the cancellation and notified I will receive a return label and box for my gateway.

i returned the box with the provided label from verizon and now, Verizon claims I did not return the gateway and wants to charge me $219.

I called 2 times, the 2nd time for over 1hr. The rep could not find a proof of return label that Verizon created and mailed to me. The warehouse did not receive my gateway box return.

i am frustrated by this issue since no one on the phone wants to help me. All verizon wants to do is increase the cost of my service but provide below subpar customer service help. Even Tmobile provide better customer service than this.

I know I would be upset if I was charged for a non-return when I returned equipment myself, tg1809. The lack of support afterward would only make matter worse.
