I purchased 2 new devices from Verizon online on October 10th. On October 13th the devices arrived and would not activate properly so I had to take them into a Verizon store and wait there for 4 hours while they tried to activate. When we ordered the devices the website stated:
"Add a smartphone(retail value over $699.99) with monthly device payments to your cart, then activate on a new smartphone line of service with select Verizon Unlimited plans. You'll get a $200 Verizon gift card per switched line."
"After checkout, redeem your reward via your Notifications on the My Verizon app or vzw.com/myverizon. Your $200 Verizon gift card will be sent via email within 8 weeks after receipt of claim to the submitted email address."
Weeks went by and I never received a notification in the app or an email with a code to redeem. I called customer service on November 30th and after being passed around a few times they gave me a promo code to use - but since the promo had ended - the website said it was invalid and could not be redeemed. I talked to multiple other people who stated that since the code was expire there was nothing further they could do. I finally talked to someone who said they escalated my claim and I would receive information via email within 7-10 days on how to get my two $200 gift cards that were promised to me (and the only reason that we switched carriers at that specific time). 10 days came and went and I received nothing from Verizon.
I have submitted multiple support claims online, all who said that they can't do anything and I need to speak with the Rebate Center. They transferred me to the rebate center who said they had to transfer me to the rebate center (hmm... I thought I was already talking to the rebate center?) who then transferred to the "rebate center" for the third time. Not sure if these particular individuals didn't know what to do so they just kept passing me around. The last person said she couldn't see all the details of my account but could see that the rebates had not been redeemed. We waited on the phone for almost an hour while she was trying to get ahold of her "support team" before she said I needed to speak with customer service. Are you kidding me? I have talked to every department and not one has done anything helpful. I have spent 10+ hours on the phone, texting, messaging online trying to solve this issue.
Can someone please just tell me how to receive the two $200 Verizon gift cards that I qualified for over two months ago and still have not seen? This is clearly an issue that others are having as well based on the community forum. If this isn't resolved I will be contacting the BBB.

I switched over 5 lines in November and still waiting for the $200/line. Calling Verizon is a mess as you said. I will try to send a “private note” whatever that means but hopefully I can get this resolved as well

I am currently facing the same issue. I have called and been redirected multiple times to finally be told I need to submit an escalations case. I switched a line from AT&T back in December and was told that the credit would be sent to me with in the following weeks, this did not happen. I have never received an email OR notification on my Verizon app that I was meant to redeem any credit or let alone provided a redemption code. Fully dissatisfied in the handling of this, it shouldn’t be this hard to make rebate credits visible and accessible to new customers. Will be contacting the BBB regarding this.

Dealing with the same issue now as well. Seems to be a common theme! Was suppose to get $200 x 3, total $600 in rebates for switching from Tmobile. They were to be delivered on 2/22/23, still have not arrived via email. Called and CS said they were sent. They supposedly resent again however no email arrived once again. Now they just expect you to wait for the email that isnt coming and just long enough for the rebate to expire. Funny how I get every other email they sent instantly but this particular one doesnt seem to go thru! OK. Bottom line is these accounts will be cancelled if the rebate is not deliver, period. Total nonsense that everyone has to play these games with a major carrier.

I am having the same issue. Switched one line to verizon new phone etc and was supposed to get a notification or code to redeem and get my card within 8 weeks… well no notification, no code. How in the world am I supposed to fill out anything in the promo center when I dont have a code and no. Notification was sent although it said “Get a $200 Verizon Gift Card when you switch. Online only.

We brought 5 lines to Verizon on 11/25/2022 and we have also never received the gift cards. Our service was brought from T-Mobile. My husband and I have made multiple calls to the local store, customer service, and we have also chatted with multiple reps. We have gotten three different answers. Verizon should not make this process so difficult and convoluted to receive something that was promised to new customers.

A rebate code was never received, so we were never even able to attempt to submit anything for a rebate.

Same. I've called over and over trying to get my rebate. They kept telling me it will arrive soon. Next time I called they said it expired but they will reactivate it. Called today and they now say I was supposed to activate a rebate code from my receipt. Checked my receipt from November and nothing is there about turning in any codes for a rebate... So frustrated.
