I switched to Verizon and completed all steps given for the promotion. I received a confirmation email and then an email that Verizon was having trouble processing. The email stated I need to contact Verizon. I did this and was sent an email it was fixed. A week later I received another email they were having trouble processing. Then after more than an hour on the phone they informed me I only qualified for &150.00 rebate. Then another email stating they were having trouble processing and to contact them. After 30 minutes back and forth she stated she needed to talk to the store where I was given the $450 promotion code. She returned and stated she would have to call me back. She called back and stated that I qualified for $150 rebate and would be sending confirmation. Within an hour there were confirmations for all 5 phones for $150.00 e-gift cards. I informed Danielle she has one week to fix the issue and she stated she could adjust one of the phones to the $450.00 but not the other 4 phones I transferred. I plan to wait until September 24th and then will report to Better Business Bureau. I did not need to switch my service and I am paying more for phone service.
Very unhappy with customer service

Similar issues here. HOURS on the phone with Verizon and still have not received. I have called multiple times and each time they say they are "escalating" the issue. Worst customer service ever... Next time I won't debate switching. I'll just move to AT&T when contract is up.

zbtmontoya, we are disheartened to learn about your recent promotional issue with receiving it, and the last thing we want is for you to leave us. I have sent you a Private Note, so that we can review this with you to determine the status of why this is taking so long as we understand that your time is valuable.

I switched over under the intentions that I would receive 450 prepaid visa card per line. But what I received was 450 Verizon egift cards per line. Customer support says there's nothing they can do about it. Now my bank account wishes it would of stayed at t-mobile!!

Carl51, we know that choosing your carrier is a major decision. The BYOD offer does specifically state it is a Verizon eGift card on our website. (see link below) Promotions are not able to be modified, however, if you would like us to review your account to make sure you have the best possible plan and discounts. Please let us know.

Joshua the rep that signed me up told me it was a pre paid visa card. This was back in the beginning of April 2021. I would of never switched under the intention of getting e gift cards since all my phones are brand new. I spent 3,000 to leave t-mobile so I was figuring on the 1800 visa cards would soffen the blow. Hey I'm use to salespeople lying to me but I would never in a million years thought a Verizon salesperson would!!

Mrsbrinker, making sure I receive the offer I was promised is critical for me as a consumer. I sincerely apologize you have not been successful with the BYOD promotion. I will be more than happy to look into this for you? Please share with me some details on how you processed the rebate request?

The last Verizon rep I spoke to wouldn't even give me details on the account. Basically called me a liar and said this number was not "ported" over repeatedly. Somehow a number which was on the ATT network for years magically showed up in their system but it was not "ported" over so BYOD doesn't count because Verizon supposedly gave me a new number, which happened to be the same as old number. Rep basically said only way I can get information on my account is to call a lawyer and subpoena the records. Please keep me updated on your progress

Verizon's customer service is a joke. This BYOD rebate thing is definitely an issue. I had major problems getting Verizon to honor the rebate gift card codes and had to involve the FCC to get them to do anything about it.
Verizon's service is literally the most expensive cell service in the entire world. The CS and service better be top notch and flawless at the prices we are paying.

On my end, it’s seemingly clear that Verizon is doing this on purpose.

Same here. I got two iphone 11s at a Verizon store and was told they would send me two $450. gift cards within two to three months. Nothing came. I called Verizon. They said I had to fill out forms but I was too late. I said nobody at the Verizon store told me that. The person I spoke with to complain on the phone said she appealed it and thought I 'would get my money'. No Joy. I called again today, six months after the promotion and was told I could have a $250 credit. I said I would contact Better Business. She said, Oh, so you don't want the $250?
