I was wondering how much would it cost to get my iphone 5s activated and a monthly prepaid plan on it.
$45/month, no activation fee. Gets you unlimited talk and text with 2GB
Verizon Wireless Prepay -Verizon Wireless
I believe $45/month gives you 1 GB of data.
1.5 GB plus 0.5 GB for auto pay
*Unlimited Texting to anyone on any network on the U.S. and to participating carriers in Mexico, Canada and Puerto Rico.
We seem to be looking at different pages. When I click on the link you provided, I get the following:
With the autopay option, it appears to bring the data up to 1.5 GB/month.
$45/month for 1 GB of data
$60/month for 2.5 GB of data
With auto-pay:
$45/month for 2 GB of data
$60/month for 3.5 GB of data
Prepaid Customers With Autopay Receive Bonus Data
And for what it's worth, if I click on Weth's link, I see what rcschnoor said he sees when he clicks the link. If I go to Verizon Wireless Prepay -Verizon Wireless I see what rcschnoor posted in his screenshot.
The Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Program allows you to activate an eligible* Verizon Wireless basic or 3G smartphone on a No Annual Contract Plan.
*Excludes Windows Mobile®, 4G smartphones, and most Push to Talk devices (excluding BlackBerry® Push to Talk, which can be activated).
Prepaid Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Program FAQs | Verizon Wireless
This prepaid stuff is confusing. I went to the BYOP web page for prepaid and it says now you can bring your 4G phone.
Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) to Prepaid, Plus Enjoy Flexible Plans
Maybe they haven't updated the FAQ.
Following your link I see:
Do you have an unused Verizon Wireless 4G LTE, 3G smartphone or basic phone in your drawer? Now you can activate both 4G LTE and 3G devices on one of Verizon’s prepaid monthly plans. It’s all about saving money by reusing something you already have.
Who knows. Communication throughout the site is sometimes fragmented I guess.
