$200 Verizon Gift Card Offer

Very annoyed with Verizon. Wasted so much of my time. I was on the website on Feb. 5th looking at offers to switch my 4 lines. Put devices in cart... got $200 VCard pop-up offer AND an additional $150 off the Samsung. I was comparing how much the monthly bill would be at compared to the offer I had from another carrier of a $200 bill credit per line plus an additional 20% off per line. Went into the chat to "ask an expert" what the 'actual' bill would run with taxes and fees because I could only see an estimate on the website.

The "expert" said they couldn't see my cart, asked my Zip code and devices etc. so they could give me that information. I walked through the process. Then the "expert" who I guess was in sales offered me the $200 gift card. I said I already have that on the website plus the $150. The rep said they didn't have the $150 offer then claimed what they were offering was $200 "per line." I was like yeah, don't need Verizon gift cards but they said it can be used toward paying your bill. Expert had my attention. Now other carrier was not charging me activation fees, $200 bill credits per line & 20% off which made the 16+ free on them. With Verizon I had to get kids 15+ instead. Bill would be slightly more but I was like it's doable. It was late, authorized rep to take my number because I needed to talk to my family to make a decision which I would have next day. Rep set up a time... said the next day February 6th at 7pm. Great.

I'm rushing home next day and get a text from rep 30 mins early. Reply back saying give me about 10 mins. I'd decided to move forward with Verizon. Was slightly more but the perks were available if I wanted or needed. We start the process and THANK GOODNESS I paused to remind the rep about the $200 per line offer... how does it work, how do I redeem it, etc.? This "expert" THEN tells me, "Oh sorry. That switch offer per line ended its no longer available but I can still offer you the $200 gift card. STOP. So just 1 now, like was offered on the website anyway? So had I not asked, you were just going to process my order knowing I wasn't getting what we just talked about? I was on the chat with this person well after midnight. Was it a lie from the beginning? I just stopped the entire process right there. That was the incentive because AT&T had the better deal plus my kids would get 16+ instead of 15+, not that they mind. But my sister has Verizon and says service is reliable that's why I opted for Verizon instead. Then to add insult to injury, I was trying to get it during pre-order because I could've added the line for the S25+ through Samsung and got a free upgrade on storage, PLUS a $50 Samsung credit. But thanks to the lack of information rep made me miss all that. Why, cause it ended Feb 7th on the Samsung website. Just awful. But rep doesn't care they made me miss the deal with misinformation.

If it was ending, why didn't they say so at first which makes me think it was a sales farce. Then I just had another rep lie to me this week in the chat after checking how the $150 off worked which popped up again with the $200 gift card. I wasn't even contacting for switch,  just information. After answering my question that the $150 is in bill credits, this other rep tried to convince me that I had to order via "online chat only" to get the $200 VCard. I said that's not so, I'm staring at them both right here in my cart. Just lying. It's offensive. I just changed my mind about switching to Verizon due to the deception. If it's that bad to meet quotas or get commissions that your reps are lying, Verizon needs to change some policies so they don't feel the need to. My sister advised me not to go with other carrier but can't wait to tell her Verizon isn't as great as she claimed.
