Hello,
I have switched 5lines from other carrier to Verizon. While I was making the order I was told that each of the line is eligible to get 200$ debate at least that was my understanding. I got a link and coupon code from sales person. I applied for rebate after a day or two from my line activation. After I applied, I got an email saying decision will be made on the rebate by august 8. After a month now two of those application has been rejected and three others says in progress. I checked this with customer care, they just resubmitted it and asked me to wait few more days.
I don't understand this kind of offer, why would they say the provide something before we switch and after we are committed we are forced to go through all of this stuff. I feel like Verizon is deliberately prolonging giving out the money so that some will forget/give-up the offer they are promised to get.
Anyone faced this issue with verizon. how did you guys tackle this?
Regards

Hello, I just wanted to make a update about the above topic. After continuous calls withe customer care, I was able to get four 200$ gift cards out five new lines we opened. I don't know the exact reason why I didn't get 200$ for the fifth line but the only difference is that we didn't order a phone with Verizon for that line (they said its not qualified). The customer care from Philippines was helpful. I usually cut the call if someone from America pick up and try later as they always tired to deny the offer or didn't do a proper job escalating my case.
I got this sorted after a month I posted this thread. I just got the chance to update her. Thanks @SynthpopAddict for your input.

Hi, you are not alone as there have (sadly) been many threads about this topic. Why Verizon makes it so difficult to redeem promotions, I don't know. But when I lurked at the other 2 large carriers' forums some months ago, their forums are also full of threads from people who can't get some promo or another to work either...
Anyway, this user successfully navigated the switcher rebate maze and did get their rebates, so I'd see the tips in the thread below. At least you got an email and coupon code from the salesperson, as some did not get even those.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

You're welcome! Glad to hear you got most of your rebates eventually. From hanging out here in the forums a lot, it's apparent to me that some Verizon reps are better at their job than others, so it's a case of "try, try again" when things don't get sorted right away. Sorry to hear about the 5th line not being eligible, but I do believe the switcher rebate is tied to needing to buy a phone through Verizon.
