I bought 2 new phones and ported 2 lines and met all the requirements. After more than a month of waiting for the rebate validation, it was denied. After speaking with an agent, she confirmed that I met the requirements and that there was an error with the rebates department. Even though they confirmed my eligibility over the phone with the rebate department, my rebate status is still “pending validation” for at least another week. Google “Verizon switcher rebate” and you’ll see that Verizon does its best to make it impossible to redeem what they promise to customers. I have 4 lines with Verizon. Quick math would tell you paying me my $300 rebate is better business than losing me as a customer, which is happening today.

A week later, after a Verizon employee confirmed my eligibility with the rebates department, it was denied again. It is even noted in my account as their error, but they still will not approve my rebate. You just lost a customer with 4 lines.

@JReinders, the OP did get their switcher rebate after some time, and it's quite a process, but they also posted another thread with a bunch of good tips:
BTW the last I'd heard, the switcher rebate is $200/line, not $300.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

I called customer service and they said they would credit my bill for the $600. will wait and see and report back. thanks

A year later Verizon denied all 3 of my switcher credits out of Boise. $600 lost. Plus retention said they were getting me the other $300 and didn't even apply that for me. I have an open support ticket from 11/25/24 to make sure I got my credits applied where Verizon has ignored me 100%.

Looks like they get you hooked up with these credits/rebates and then deny it. Similar thing happened to me and I am a new customer with these guys since Dec. Will need to start looking again to switch. Spent hours and such a waste of time....

Hello I’m dealing with the same problem…switched to Verizon on Jan 14th the sales person told me I’d receive a $300 gift card, instead of $200, the second support team member escalated the claim I received text messages from Verizon to view my rebate status etc. weeks later my rebate still can’t be found, website says contact us.. today the supervisor tells me that he doesn’t have any promotions on my account and there’s nothing he can do.

as you can see the system does not work and I have been on the phone over 30 minutes for the 2nd time today… nobody else received their promotion either
