There are over 100 ppl that have had issues claiming their promo for switching to Verizon internet. This is pretty ridiculous. I am unable to claim my Nintendo Switch, as well. If I don’t hear back that the “problem is fixed” then I might move my business elsewhere.  I just got a great competitive quote at Costco today and might make the switch.

Hello, I already spoke to customer service via chat this morning. I follow the steps to claim the promo and I select Nintendo Switch. I check the box for terms and then get an error message every time: 

We're sorry.

There was an error when adding this Nintendo Switch or $200 The Home Depot Gift Card promotion to your verizon account.

I'm having the same issue now. When I reached out to Verizon support, they said "please wait 5 days and try again." How will I know that it will work in 5 days? I was hoping to have the Switch for an 8 hour car ride with young kids coming up soon. The other option I was given was to create a ticket that typically takes about 4 weeks to receive an update.

I just hit my 65 days today (7/15/24) and I am able to see the offer in my "Make the most of your plans" section. When I select “Your home offer is ready. Redeem by 9.13.” it takes me to a screen that says “Select your offer” that has a Nintendo Switch and a $200 Home Depot Gift Card. When I click “Select” on the Nintendo Switch, it gives me terms and conditions and then I click on “I accept the Terms & Conditions” and then click “Got it,” it says “We're sorry. There was an error when adding this Nintendo Switch or $200 The Home Depot Gift Card promotion to your Verizon account.”

I’m having this exact same issue. Tried to redeem it 35 minutes after I received the email this morning, just to get the same message. I placed my order, received, and installed it 5/15/24. If you could help, that would be amazing.

Same thing here. I spent 30 min on the phone with customer service who first told me I had to wait until 9.13, when I objected, I was told they were out of stock and to try next monday. I tried to redeem this within hours of getting the email, and they’re already out? Not to mention, they knew people would be trying to redeem these for 2 months. Feels pretty bad

You're definitely past the 65-day waiting period for redemption right now, so we can certainly assist with this. 9/13 sounds like it would be close to the last day to redeem the offer since you have 60-days once the waiting period is up. Out of stock? Yeah, that's pretty bad. At least someone was honest. I've been getting the runaround.

The Verizon response after the PM message to me above was to walk me through what I had already been walked through and mentioned in my first post and at the end, escalate it for a ticket (which I had already done and mentioned in the post). If they know it can't be resolved, why waste people's time with escalation tickets?

Verizon, do better.

Hello all who commented that they are experiencing the same thing.  I’m sorry and it’s unfortunate that it’s such a wide spread issue. I did finally get my Nintendo Switch ordered after spamming their Facebook Home Internet ads about my experience. I spent about 6-7 hours with customer service chat (so I could have screenshots) over the weekend. The social media rep reached out after my comments on their home internet ads. I had to threaten that I would continue spamming their posts with my experience until the situation was rectified. An executive relations rep reached out yesterday for follow up and I will call back once I physically have the Nintendo Switch in my hands. I’ll update if she shares any info on why this is happening. I believe Verizon should address this with their customers that they sold this promo to. Keep pestering customer service in chat until you get your promo offer. If you look at Verizon’s Facebook page they removed all of their home internet promo ads, so it seems they took notice a large population of their customers are upset over this.

I am experiencing same issue with redeeming my offer for the Samsung galaxy Chromebook go!!!! I will not go down without a fight, so Verizon, please reach out to me ASAP to help assist in the resolving of this matter (my email and account for my fios home services  is [email address removed per the Verizon Terms of Service]) . This is an incredibly ironic thing to say for people that paid money for your service and have to spend valuable time of their days begging you to do right by them. I want a private message as well.
