Nintendo Switch

There are over 100 ppl that have had issues claiming their promo for switching to Verizon internet. This is pretty ridiculous. I am unable to claim my Nintendo Switch, as well. If I don’t hear back that the “problem is fixed” then I might move my business elsewhere. I just got a great competitive quote at Costco today and might make the switch.

I'm having the same issue now. When I reached out to Verizon support, they said "please wait 5 days and try again." How will I know that it will work in 5 days? I was hoping to have the Switch for an 8 hour car ride with young kids coming up soon. The other option I was given was to create a ticket that typically takes about 4 weeks to receive an update.

I just hit my 65 days today (7/15/24) and I am able to see the offer in my "Make the most of your plans" section. When I select “Your home offer is ready. Redeem by 9.13.” it takes me to a screen that says “Select your offer” that has a Nintendo Switch and a $200 Home Depot Gift Card. When I click “Select” on the Nintendo Switch, it gives me terms and conditions and then I click on “I accept the Terms & Conditions” and then click “Got it,” it says “We're sorry. There was an error when adding this Nintendo Switch or $200 The Home Depot Gift Card promotion to your Verizon account.”

Same thing here. I spent 30 min on the phone with customer service who first told me I had to wait until 9.13, when I objected, I was told they were out of stock and to try next monday. I tried to redeem this within hours of getting the email, and they’re already out? Not to mention, they knew people would be trying to redeem these for 2 months. Feels pretty bad

Out of stock? Yeah, that's pretty bad. At least someone was honest. I've been getting the runaround.

The Verizon response after the PM message to me above was to walk me through what I had already been walked through and mentioned in my first post and at the end, escalate it for a ticket (which I had already done and mentioned in the post). If they know it can't be resolved, why waste people's time with escalation tickets?

Hello all who commented that they are experiencing the same thing. I’m sorry and it’s unfortunate that it’s such a wide spread issue. I did finally get my Nintendo Switch ordered after spamming their Facebook Home Internet ads about my experience. I spent about 6-7 hours with customer service chat (so I could have screenshots) over the weekend. The social media rep reached out after my comments on their home internet ads. I had to threaten that I would continue spamming their posts with my experience until the situation was rectified. An executive relations rep reached out yesterday for follow up and I will call back once I physically have the Nintendo Switch in my hands. I’ll update if she shares any info on why this is happening. I believe Verizon should address this with their customers that they sold this promo to. Keep pestering customer service in chat until you get your promo offer. If you look at Verizon’s Facebook page they removed all of their home internet promo ads, so it seems they took notice a large population of their customers are upset over this.

I am experiencing same issue with redeeming my offer for the Samsung galaxy Chromebook go!!!! I will not go down without a fight, so Verizon, please reach out to me ASAP to help assist in the resolving of this matter (my email and account for my fios home services is [email address removed per the Verizon Terms of Service]) . I have waited my promotional period and received an email saying my offer is ready to be redeemed. I followed the instructions in the email. Found the tile in my Verizon. I selected the Nintendo switch offer and it sends me to an error page….

I wouldn’t be concerned but I looked it up and found that it’s an ongoing issue that many others are also experiencing.

I had the same issue I had a nice CS Agent helping me but after like an hour of waiting my messages stopped going through because I guess at some point we got disconnected I really don’t want to get robbed out of this promotion i didn’t switch internet for nothing this was the incentive

This is an incredibly ironic thing to say for people that paid money for your service and have to spend valuable time of their days begging you to do right by them. I want a private message as well.

I’m having the exact same problem, mine is available to claim until 9/18 and I’m getting the error message.

I tried to reply to a PM I got from a mod claiming to want to help as I hit send I got told “you’ve reached the limit of messages you can send” how is that possible if it’s my only ever message this is such a runaround by verizon

Here’s the message I tried to send to the PM

“I keep trying to redeem a promo for a Nintendo Switch and $200 Target Gift Card and your website keeps screwing me over, not only is the $200 Yarget Gift card is gone and I can’t redeem the Switch I keep getting an error. I signed up because I wanted the Nintendo and the Target Gift card was also a great bonus and instead of getting both I’m getting neither I feel ripped off I’ve been dealing with Verizon CS all day getting the runaround ruining my Saturday”

I received my notification to redeem for the Nintendo Switch last night and I tried to redeem it this morning but got the same error to try again later. I specifically went with Verizon because of this offer so if I can’t get it, I will take my business elsewhere. This is not how to treat customers. Can someone please contact me to fix this issue?

Just today, I became eligible for the Nintendo switch and getting the same error when I try to redeem it.

Same issue. Try to claim the Nintendo switch, agree to the terms, then get an error message “we’re having trouble, try again later.” It’s been over a week and multiple chats with agents who know nothing. I’ve tried everything they’ve suggested. Verizon, what’s with the run around?

I am having the same issue redeeming my Nintendo switch. I received the email stating my offer is ready to redeem. I selected the Nintendo only to get an error message stating there was an error and to please try again. I tryed several times I waited several days still wont work. I've cleared my cookies and cache, I've tryed the app, google chrome on my phone, and my computer still getting same error message. I've called Verizon only to get passed around to 3 different agents 2 of them I could not even understand their English. The last one just greeted themselves then hung up on me. I started a text conversation only to be told they would enter and escalation ticket and that I would get a reply within 7 days. I have waisted hours trying to redeem my offer. Guess what 7 days and no reply. I have been a loyal customer for over 9 years. I've held up my end of the deal now Verizon needs to follow through on there promises. This is definitely making me reconsider doing buisness with them in the future if they cannot follow through on their part. They knew how many people were going to be getting these offers and had 65 days to prepare for this. I'm sure if you go to there online store you could purchase a switch and have it in a couple days. I want a resolution!

I’ve yet to receive any kind of offer for a resolution to my issue. Same issue, time and again, yet now response to me concerns. Same escalation ticket yet no solution. Why have I been ignored? I’m beyond frustrated with this entire situation.

I am having the same problem. The switch and the target gift card. I have called multiple times for 2 months and am told I will get it in an email to claim them. I never receive the email and have to call back every 2 weeks because they say 7-14 days. I have had service through Verizon for 13 years with phone now have the internet. I am seriously thinking of switching service too.

Tried calling again today. 4th time in 2 months. I was told again to check my email for the next 7 days. I am beyond upset with this whole situation! If I do not have results in 7 days I will take my 3 lines and internet elsewhere. 13 and 9 months of loyalty to a company gets you nowhere anymore. I saw T Mobile has some good deals and they help get you switched and keep your number. Also xfinity provides internet and cell all on the same plan too. I have been looking at many options.

I’m having the same issues. I never got an email for the redemption and there is no link in my version app. It’s been over 65 days at this point and as a loyal customer it’s really frustrating to not get an answer as to how to redeem for the gift

Having the same issue where I received the email last Thursday. Immediately it did not work I notified them and they expressed I'd receive an email on Monday, nothing. I talk to them today and I get an escalation email "for the first time" and one line says "we kindly request that you refrain from contacting us regarding the specific issue." because it will reset my escalation. This should not have happened in the first place. There also should have been a notice sent that there is a "backorder" or "technical issue" with this promotion. I've dealt with this initially when getting my phone and was eligible for the apple 4k. it took almost a month after my eligibility to finally receive it. now i am told that I have to wait until the 5th to contact them. Unacceptable I will be leaving my reviews on Facebook as well if this is not rectified immediately.
