So I have been looking at upgrading my device. Been to the app numerous times and am ready to pull the trigger except.....
Been a customer for more than 20 years. For my loyalty, why do I only get the same deals anyone switching gets. Where is the perks for being a life long customer? Found the phone I wanted to upgrade to as I am eligible. Even said I would turn in my pristine used phone. But only way I get the deal is to make my plan more per month? Really? Is not the hundreds of dollars I have paid every month for 20+ years without a missed payment worthy of not being nickled and dimed so I can stick with Verizon? This is why your customers are leaving in droves. If I can't get a good deal by staying, might as well get a free phone at a cheaper rate with the competitor.
Now I am bombarded with sales calls. It's simple. Get me a new phone with my trade in at my current plan. Nope can't help. Ok....bye.

Hi Coach_Gates, first off, thank you for being a Verizon customer for over 20 years. Your loyalty is appreciated. Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. While our current promotions happen to include a plan change as a prerequisite, our offers cycle frequently. Historical offers I've seen within the last year include Loyalty only offers, such as Trade-in your existing smart phone for $1000 off (insert Android or Apple) smartphones. This promotion is loyalty-only targeted to tenured customers, does not require a plan change and accepts older trade-ins. So while we don't have that promotion going on now, I encourage you to check back with us regularly as our promotional offers cycle often. -Red
