Hello!
on 12/26/2024 I submitted a rebate $300 each line for switching to Verizon! Here we are 2/24/2025 and I have not received any of the rebates… customer service always has a different story each time I call.. any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Has anyone actually received their $300 per line gift card from the holiday switch promo? Because from what I’ve experienced—and from the sheer number of posts I’m seeing—it’s starting to look like pretty shady.

We switched to Verizon on 12/26/24 and never received instructions or a code to redeem the promo. After multiple calls, a customer service agent finally helped us submit the rebate on 1/22/25. According to Verizon’s own rebate site, validation was supposed to happen by 2/6/25 (10 business days).

Since then, I’ve called twice and have received a different explanation every single time. Then, on 3/6/25, I got a text saying our gift cards had been approved and to wait another 4-6 weeks. Yet today (3/10/25), when I check:

  • The rebate site still says our submission is pending
  • My MyVerizon account activity notifications say it’s invalid

So which is it? No one can give me a straight answer. One rep even told me it's an 8-week wait from the submission date, which contradicts the 10-business-day validation timeline listed on the rebate site.

To top it off, when I called today, the customer service rep got upset that I was upset. I just want the $600 in gift cards that Verizon promised when we switched.

At this point, it’s hard not to feel like Verizon made big promises to get people to switch but has no real process for fulfilling them. And the number of others dealing with the same issue? Absurd.

If you’ve actually managed to get your rebate, how long did it take? Or is this just how Verizon operates now?

Did you buy new phones for each line you ported in?  The Switcher Rebate has been around as long as I've been participating in these forums, but I think you always have to buy a qualifying new phone from Verizon for each line in question and there may be a requirement for a specific service plan.  The rebate codes also change from time to time, otherwise I'd link a thread here with a bunch of useful information on navigating the rebate process.

We did the "free" iPhone's they were offering when we switched. The person who handled our sale online is who offered the switcher rebate after I stated what phones/deal we wanted to use.

Does your bill currently show a monthly device credit for the "get a phone" promotion, and it will go on for 36 months?  If so, then the reason why the switcher rebate is invalid is because discounts and promotions are not stackable.  Either the sales person wasn't aware of that, or else they were after their commission. 😞

If you are also not getting the monthly credit for the free phone deal, then you need to lean on Verizon about that.

Here we are 14 days later.... Gina from management assured me via text message that our rebates had been approved and it could take another few weeks to receive them by email. I was told to disregard the notification about it being denied as that is not accurate. Received another email Saturday saying they were denied.

This is absolutely absurd.

Update 3/26/25: After months of back and forth, I finally received one $200 gift card. Verizon’s explanation? The $300 per line switch promo supposedly ended on 12/25, and my purchase was on 12/26—convenient, right? Instead, they claimed I was eligible for $200 per order, meaning even though I switched two lines, I only placed one order, so $200 was all they would offer.

After enough complaints, I managed to get an additional $100 credit, bringing my total to $300—still far from the $600 I was promised.

At this point, it’s clear that no one at Verizon actually knows their own promos or how to provide a consistent answer. Every rep I spoke to over the last three months had a different excuse as to why I wasn’t getting what I was originally told.

A completely frustrating and misleading experience—wouldn’t recommend.

And to whichever Verizon rep copies and pastes a generic response to this post: Don’t bother. This is not a misunderstanding, this is not a “case-by-case” issue—this is exactly what happened, and customers deserve to know how unreliable your promos actually are.

Still waiting on mine.  I call every month and get the run around.  The latest I called last Monday and was assured that I would be contacted by Friday.  Nothing on Friday then today on Monday i get a message that the issue has been resolved.  I check on line and there is no notification, so i call yet again, and today i am now promised that it will be resolved in 72 hours.

what the heck

I receive two $200 gift cards for switching service. I then switched over two more lines when the promotion was bumped to $300 per line on 12/24. I have not received these gift cards and Verizon reps have not been helpful. Verizon customer service, please help!

Verizon

I signed up for Switch and Save promotion on 1/31/25:

Free IPhone 16 Pro

Pay off ATT debt for two phones

55+ unlimited plan 3 years

I was not told that I had to apply for a rebate, only that I would receive a Mastercard online to pay off my old carrier.  On March 22, 2025 I was told by text that a supervisor would submit the form and expedite the cards to me. I have received nothing, and never received the original agreement that I signed online!  My account does not reflect these Verizon commitments that the Verizon representative shared as the promotion.

I will not pay my bill until this is corrected and I receive the Mastercharge cards to pay off my ATT accounts!

Well I see I'm just one of many having the same problem. I have called texted and chat with Verizon since 12/25/2024 . I got 4 phones on this special holiday promo to switch  and get a $300 for each phone and still no resolution. I have been on the phone for 2 hours today and they said they can't find a promo in 12/25/2024. If I don't resolve this I will cancel and be done with Verizon!
