Senior discount

Senior discount in Florida only?
Why just there?  Time to make that available everywhere, don’t you think?  Other carriers offer it nationwide.  Why doesn’t Verizon?  You know, current Seniors are baby boomers.  Lots of us out here.  Big numbers.  It would be a shame if we all decided to change carriers to get a discount that should be offered by our current carrier.
T-mobile is big in my area.  Senior Unlimited 55+ I believe it’s called.  $30 a month.  Knock knock…is anyone listening at Verizon?

As for your first questions, I don't know why either.  But of the competition, there's only 1 who offers a senior discount nationwide.  The other one also only does senior plans in Florida.  The plan you mentioned I'm pretty sure is a legacy plan no longer being offered.

Cell phone service is like anything else: You (usually) get what you pay for.  I've seen the better part of 60 years myself and tried the competition's 55+ discount since they were the only carrier offering said discount in my area.  First of all, it's not $30/month and second, it wasn't of the quality other customers of theirs got.  The most shocking thing was paying more as a postpaid customer with them and having even worse service than what I get on my current Verizon prepaid plan costing less than $40/month.  I would go into the billing disaster which occurred when I ported back to Verizon after just a few days in my desperation to have decent service back, but that's another story.

In a nutshell, guess you could try the other place if people around you like them and maybe your mileage will vary from mine, but for me, I won't go back.

I totally agree and have same issue! Does V think the only state with Seniors is Florida? That’s discrimination!
