Switcher Rebate $200

I switched to Verizon from our previous carrier on 12/21/24. During the process (which was done online with the help of an agent on chat) I was told that I would be getting a $200 gift card per line for switching my service to Verizon. Which I part of the reason I chose Verizon over another company. I clarified multiple times during our interaction that I would receive the gift cards and was assured multiple times I would. Well I never received an email so I reached out to customer service for help multiple times and have been told โ€œthereโ€™s no record of thatโ€ (that I was supposed to get gift cards) anywhere. When I brought up the fact that it was posted all over the website when I switched they threw a bunch of stipulations at me. They also said they were opening a โ€œreviewโ€ and that I would receive an email 3 business days following that interaction. Which I never received. It was the worst experience I have ever had with customer service. They basically said I was lying about the gift cards and told me there was nothing they could do. I feel sick to my stomach that I am now in contract with a company that doesnโ€™t treat their customers with respect or uphold the things their customers are promised.

Have you gotten this issue resolved? The customer support guy created a ticket for me but so far nobody is resolving this issue.

This seems to be a common problem as I'm having the same issue it's now been over 9 weeks since I submitted the form, several conversations and at least three so-called escalations of the matter and still no resolution.

I have had no positive movement in this issue. I have had two separate tickets created, with no avail. Itโ€™s absolutely ridiculous. I guess us small scale customers donโ€™t matter to them.

I am in the same situation as you!  Worst customer service I have ever experienced!   Became a new customer as of 12/30/24.  Spoke with Tele Sales on 12/30/24, as I had questions and the agent seemed to be very knowledgeable, and I thought gave me the best promotion, and he stated that I would qualify for $200/ line credit on 4 devices which would be $800. So based on what was explained to me, I signed-up to be a new customer coming from another MVNO service provider.  After the fact,  I found out that it wasn't line credit to my account at all and found out that it was supposed to be a $200/line gift card.  Filed for the rebate/gift card on Jan 10, 2025 with the assistance of a billing agent and only to find out as of 2/11/2025 that my submissions were denied/invalid.  Had nothing but issues after becoming a customer from day 1 and  billing issues about 2 weeks after becoming a customer and spent quite a few hours resolving at my local  Verizon corporate store and customer service by phone.   Now I am encountering issues with trying receive the rebates as promised. I believe I will move forward with a complaint to the FCC to start.

We'd like to welcome you to the Verizon family and never want you to feel this way, BARM77. Promotional offers are always helpful to receive when setting up service. We will send you a Private Message to take a closer look into this.
