Verizon $200 Switcher Rebate

Like many, many other people on this forum, I've been having a terrible time attempting to get my $200 egift card rebate processed for switching my line from T-Mobile. I have a screenshot of my order which verifies that the promo was on there. I submitted the claim back in early April, and it gave me an April 13 estimate for validation. Having not heard any update by mid- May, I called in, and they said that they were 100% positive that this would be approved by the first week of June and I had nothing to worry about. First week of June came and went, and the status had not updated.  Last week I called again. They assured me this time that they promised that I indeed was eligible for the rebate, I met the requirements, and it would be approved no later than June 24th. and they would call me as soon as the status updated.

Today I got an email saying that my rebate was denied because it was "invalid'. Absolutely no other information or explanation why it was rejected when every rep I spoke to said it would be approved and I have proof of the promo on my order page. And I did not get a phone call about it, just an automated email.

Why does Verizon have to make this process so difficult and have their reps give information which is clearly incorrect and they don't follow-up on? I just want my $200. I don't care if it's in the format of an invoice credit, a rebate card, a gift card or however else Verizon wants to pay it.
