Verizon $200 rebate promo

So this is my second time complaining about Verizon and Im hoping someone can help me. I ported 3 numbers into my account in July where I also  purchased  3 new phones . At the time, Verizon was offering a $200 rebate promo since I was placing the order online.  I got the eligibility email/notification and submitted my rebate on July 22nd. Fast forward to today, I get a notification that Im “not eligible” for the promo because something in my account changed. The examples given were canceling service, porting out the numbers on the account. NONE of those things happened. There has not been any changes on my account. I’ve been with verizon for over 3 years. I called Verizon and the agent is also confused and telling me that I AM eligible and he can see nothing on my account has changed. So why the invalid claim?? No one can tell me why. Im beyond  disappointed

I  have not been able to even been able to start my rebate process at verizon.com/rebate!!!

I have the same problem. I added home internet and did it because of the $200 rebate offered and never received it. Called in to ask why I got an email saying I was ineligible. The man said he would call me back to find out why and never did. Still don’t have the rebate.

After speaking with several agents, who all have confirmed that I am in fact eligible for this promo, my ticket has been escalated for review.

I need someone from Verizon to provide me an update with whats happening. Its ridiculous that Im getting several notifications that my ticket status has been updated but theres nothing that I can see on my end. There have been no updates. This is beyond frustrating since Ive spoken to multiple agents about this issue Who have all confirmed that I am still Eligible for the promo. Its ridiculous at this point.

@Sunnydays7, I think the issue is that you've been a customer with Verizon already for a few years and had lines added to your account.  The $200 rebate is known as a Switcher Rebate and from what I can tell elsewhere in the forums, would only be for completely new customers who haven't used Verizon for some exclusionary period (usually, companies consider you a "new customer" if you have had no services from them for 90 or more days prior to you signing up).  You could try the tips in the link to the thread below, as that person did manage to get their switcher rebate after quite a bit of trouble, but I can't guarantee it will work for you.

Hi, I confirmed that is not the issue. The promotion was an online offer only and made no mention of it being only for new customers or that current customers were not eligible.

Get a $200 Verizon e-Gift Card on us. Complete the smartphone purchase from your cart. Redeem offer in My Verizon or vzw.com/myverizon after placing your order. You must submit for redemption within 60 days of order. Card sent via email within 8 weeks after receipt and validation of claim to the submitted email address. If service is canceled or device is returned, claim will be invalid. We reserve the right to charge the amount of the Verizon e-Gift Card to your Verizon Wireless account if, within 12 months, service is canceled, or price plan changes from an eligible unlimited plan. A suspension without billing will add the time you are suspended to your 12 month chargeback window.

 

every agent that I have spoken to thus far, have all agreed that I am eligible for the rebate promotion. The issue according to them is that despite me seeing invalid rebate on my end and a little bit of more digging, they can see that the rebate promotion is pending but only on their end. Every agent has confirmed that I will get it but only After 8weeks after submitting.

I also got a notice that my rebate was invalid.  I have met all the criteria. I did not change anything on my account.  I would really like it if verizon woods stick to their promises.  I'm trying to contact anyone on the phone or through your chat. Bot is almost impossible

@Bgansley  My suggestion is for you to call Verizon and speak to an agent directly. Which is what I did. It might be the same thing that even though it says it’s invalid on our end, they can see that it might be pending still. One of the agents was kind enough to send me an email that confirms that I am eligible for promotion. It’s a weird thing and the first rebate that I’ve ever claimed with Verizon. All the agents that I spoke to have Also confirmed that I was still eligible for the promotion., And that I will definitely get the $200 gift card after eight weeks from the submission date.

I'm having the same problem. I submitted for my $300 rebate upon activation of my new phone bought late June 2024 as a new customer and have now called them twice and still get no where smh... there is absolutely no excuse for this.

1 month later and I’ve been getting the run around. 3 consecutive months of issues with Verizon and their customer service. Why aren’t there managers to address the issues ?? You would think by the 7th or 8th call from a customer and detailed documentation on the account for each call would be enough. Glad to know it’s not just me showing that  Verizon will do anything to avoid paying the rebate promos.
