Verizon charging credit instead of gift card.

"A Credit/Debit card is required with all giftcard purchase. We will not charge your credit/debit card unless your purchase amount exceeds the value of gift card(s)."

So, Verizon requires a valid card to use a gift card.  Okay.  However, it charged my card $65 anyway , and apparently I now have a worthless $200 unusable gift card that cannot be redeemed online or in-store.

Received an online gift card after the purchase of a second line and phone.  Tried to redeem it in Verizon's shop, but the website isn't honoring it.

I'm sorry for

any confusion. You received a $200 gift card and were charged $65 for it? Was the 65 a charge for a device? Where did you make this purchase?-Joe

Tried to use the gift card for a PS5 controller, but my credit was charged instead of the gift card.

We're sorry to hear about the problems with your purchase. Do you still have the Verizon gift card with a $200 balance? Did you want to return your controller and use your gift card to purchase a controller instead? Or use your gift card towards your Verizon bill ? Thank you.
