Verizon will not provide the $300 egift card I was promised for their promotion back in November 2024

I have been with Verizon previously and left them due to poor customer service. Late last year, in November, I switched back to them because of the $300 promotional credit I would receive if I purchased a new line.  Also thought maybe they improved.  bought my son a new phone and his own number.

Well, I was completely wrong. I submitted my claim for the gift card but never got an email, so I reached back out after a couple of months and still, no gift card. Now it has been over 4 months and still, no gift card. I reached out to support multiple times and they tell me there's nothing they can do.

I am really frustrated and feel lied to. I want what was promised to me or I am switching to another provider, whom I have one already lined up.

Does anyone have any advice before I switch?

I've reached out to Verizon multiple times and they tell me they will look into it but never respond. If they do, they tell me it's too late.

Not only is Verizon not fulfilling what they promised, but their website is terrible and not user friendly

While Verizon could do better by stating more clearly that discounts and promotions are not stackable, I highly doubt the competition would be better on that.  From the ads I get in the mail from the 2 major competitors, the fine print shows shenanigans go on at the other places too.  I have also lurked at their forums occasionally - Blue Logo Place has shut their forums down, but Pink Logo Place still has forums - and "promo not working" is a very common subject elsewhere.  (Along with "My bill is messed up", "My perk(s) are broken", "Service is the pits", "I hate [carrier]", and "That iPhone won't unlock".)

I feel your frustration, I've been going back and forth with them for weeks and most recent person told me mine were accepted and I had wait another 4-6 weeks to receive them. Then I got another notification saying they were denied. I'm so over this.
