Hello,
I bought my DROID MAXX 5 days ago. The phone, so far, works great. I had my family visiting me for thxsgiving weekend so we were taking a lot of pictures. This camera takes great pictures until it comes to taking pictures of black people. We were taking pictures at a park on a sunny afternoon. With my phone, we all came out completely dark. My sisters Iphone cameras were perfectly fine. Night time pictures are okay since you can utilize the flash. My question, is their an option to go to an advance setting where you can play around with the contrast? (similar to an iphone where you tap where you want to focus?)

There are settings That can be adjusted in all phones. However how each one handles it varies. If you go to the Google Play Store there are many free and paid apps that will fix your photos to the way you want them.
I use my wife's Droid RAZR and to tell you the truth her photos look just as dark and blurry as yours. My iphones take fantastic photos. Check the Google Play Store as I suggested.
Good Luck
