After the system update I can't tether

I've had my razr max for a year and loved the fact that I could tether by usb for free.  This is very handy for travelers that need a quick email in the airport.  Why was this changed?  Does anyone else have this problem?

Yep. When I got my Razr M in September i could tether via USB for free too. After the Jellybean update rolled out no more free usb tether. Was real handy when the wi-fi went out. But that's about the only time I need it. So it's not worth paying for on a monthly basis. Should be free anyway. Other countries don't gimp their phones' tethering software and charge for it as a "service" Service my butt.  If you go into the Play Store, you will find lots of fireworks on how Verizon's Jelly Bean update broke lots of third party tethering apps also (probably shouldn't mention particular apps here).

It is free on the Share Everything plans. You're not really paying for the tethering because they give you 2 GB extra also. You need to take that into account.

As "tethering" via a Play Store application is technically  a violation of your TOS with Verizon why complain when an OS upgrade closes the hole the tethering applications exploited?  USB connection and Bluetooth dun are still functional with some of the apps.
