I spent 45 minutes chatting with Verizon tech support this morning with no success. This evening I stopped by my local Verizon Wireless Store. The customer service attendent assessed my problem. He explained to me that the store typically calls Verizon Tech Support to handle technical issues just like you and I would. Within five minutes I was speaking with a tech support agent. She attempted to troubleshoot my issue, but once again, no such luck.
Problem: In the Verizon Message+ App, I have been attempting to attach a photo or video to a text message. No can do. When I click "Gallery" I automatically receive a warning message, THIS FEATURE REQUIRES ADDITIONAL PERMISSIONS. PLEASE ENABLE THESE PERMISSIONS FROM THE SETTINGS SCREEN>OK. I am automatically taken to the Message+ App info screen. What to do now?
I also keep receiving the warning: "Screen Overlay Detected."
I would seriously appreciate any assistance to troubleshoot this bothersome issue.
Note:
I cleared cache partition with the past four days.
I downloaded the latest Marshmallow OTA update on 4/22.
Before I hung up with the Verizon phone support tech she asked me to open up the stock messaging App and attempt to attach a photo. I did and it worked just fine, nonetheless, I would still like to use the Verizon Message+ App.
