I just purchased an Razr and lost my auto rotate ability. It was doing it for awhile but stopped. The auto rotate box is checked but still no action.

Hello to All and thank you for your advise and suggestions.
I was using the Map GPS screen yesterday when it stopped rotatiing. I worked and worked on what ever I could find but to no avail.
Thanks to SonicCcow I did the most logical thing and rebooted the small computer device and guess what. It now rotates.
I've been putting in onto the charger each night and not shutting it down so now I know and really thanks to all that took their time and replied. Since this is a new experience for me, I'll be back Ron

It happens to mine from time to time. If you power the device off and back on, it will start to rotate again. It usually happens for me when I unplug it from the charger. It's a bug in the software that will hopefully be fixed with ICS.

Thank you for your reply. I guess I better get into the thought that this is a small computer and to use it as such.
Since this is my first experience with such a sophisticated piece of equipment I'm sure I'll be using this forum many times.
Thank you again and hope you had a great day. Ron
