I recently broke my Droid Maxx. I activated an old basic phone I had from 5 years ago and I am going to be charged an additional $30 a month on top of paying $40 a month for my edge program. When I activated the phone, I switched the devices, I did not add a new line. In the mean time I ordered another Droid Maxx that I would like to activate but I don't want to end up paying an additional $40 for that phone. Am I going to have to pay an extra monthly payment no matter what phone I activate because I have the edge plan?

You can still activate another phone in place of it, but you just have to keep paying on the Edge phone until paid off.
