I am upgrading to the razr. Will my SD card (32 gb) function well in the new razr?
I installed my 32 gb microsd card into the Razr after removing it from the old phone.
To be on the safe side I backed up the contents and did a full format (not a quick format) of the sd card while plugged into my pc before installing.
it should unless you were having problems with it in the dx.

All versions of Android up to 4.xx support up to 32GB of SD storage.
Hey Chef on your card if you want too you can Format the 32GB after you have installed in the Maxx but if your wanting to save the Content on it then just install an do nothing Else but enjoy.!! b33
I recently installed a 64GB card in my Razr Maxx. I copied the contents from the old card to my laptop and then installed the new card in the phone. Then, I formatted the new card and copied the contents from my laptop to the new card.
And it's working Ok Jim ?

That's good..Can you Tell any difference in how it operates Jim is more snappier, Camera Faster things like that.when it loads up a App or Playing a App..
No difference that I can tell, just lots more space.
sdcard memory is the slowest type of memory in your device. It isn't going to make anything snappy. Just more space.
Well that 10 series 16GB PNY seemed to help my First Maxx on No. 2 i'm going to Put a 32 in it i may go 64 but heck 32 in a 10 series for what i do i think would be Enough..
Is there a special type of 64g sd card to use with the razr maxx?Or will any type or micro card work?

Most micro cards should work fine, but remember that speed might be an issue. You might want to make sure it is one of the fast access cards if you are going to stream movies from it. Music shouldn't be too bad from a slower card.
This is my same Feelings as well even though they may work the performance may not be as good as with one that is specified for the Device..
