Hello rlucas62,
Congrats on your new RAZR M! I understand that only the best of the best make it to our 'Favorites' list so it's my pleasure to provide helpful information!
There are 2 ways to remove favorites from your Favorites list:
Option 1
• From the Home screen, tap People.
• Select the contact you want to make a favorite.
• Tap the star icon.
Option 2
• From the Home screen, tap People.
•Tap Favorites
•Long press (about 3 seconds) on the contact/favorite you would like to remove
•Tap the star icon
I am confident these steps will prove successful. Thanks for being part of our community!

Ok, this add a favorite by "Tapping Star" does work. It creates a larger image of the person. When you Tap the Highlight Star to remove as a favorite, it reduces the image and it appears as a smaller image with the contact name to the right.
* But I Do Not see where you have to Long Press for 3 seconds. Long Press doesn’t really do anything. You can quick press to add and remove as favorites by highlight the star and un-highlighting the star. No issue here.
So what I'm trying to figure out is how to remove people from this Frequently Contacted List on the Favorites Page?? These are contact that were "Never" added as a favorite. They just appeared on the list. and I would like to able to remove/clear the list of contacts.
Any idea how to do this??

On your Main Screen do you see the Favorite Contacts Widget if So there should be a + and A star pointed wheel that is your Settings Tap on the Plus when you do that a List comes up next to your Contacts with a Check in it. To remove the Favorite un-check it then hit Done.. That should work.. b33

On contact page, there is a Star and (3) little boxes, one on top of the other. When I touch the 3 boxes, another window opens: Edit, Share, Delete, Set Ringtone and All Calls to Voicemail are the only options.
There is No Check to Un-Check.
No Favorite Contact widget on Main Screen. Just the (3) Circle Widgets for Time, Temperature and Battery Life.
FYI - This is the New Droid Razr M.

Yea the M is Slightly Different that my Maxx but i'd think it still has a Favorite Contacts Widget. When you pan to the Right i know you can Design you own Home screen and that is were you can probably ad this Widget that has the Contacts and can do what i suggested.. I'll Look into it More give a little time i 'll see what i can find... b33

I tried adding the Favorite Widget, but it doesn’t appear to have an option to clear the Frequently Contacted List. Just a quick way to contact favorites.

If you’re referring to the clear list feature. That only work in the “Recent” list. But I did find this:
Android 4.1, Jelly Bean
You can now clear the frequently contacted list from the favorites tab in the People app.
Sounds like the problem solves itself in Jelly Bean 4.1. Just have to wait for the update which should be within the next month or two. Yeah!!!

The frequently contacted list is automatically generated from calls you make and receive. As you call other people it will adjust the list to reflect those numbers.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
