Just purchased a Droid Razr; so far only hurdle is the Backup Assistant Plus App / Cloud access. I did see on line that it's not on this model, to go to Google Play Store (I did) and down load the Backup Assistant Plus App (can't find). Appears I have the Backup Assistant for Pictures, videos and contacts, but, am looking for music too. We stored an album earlier on the Cloud, but, no idea how to retrieve to the phone.

When you say that you stored and album earlier on the Cloud, where did you store it? Was it at Google's Cloud service or are you using VCast? If it is the app from Verizon for VCast, I just downloaded it out of the Play Store, so it is there.

If you stored them on Google cloud all you have to do to view the files is open the Cloud app and from the app you can display and download the files you stored on the cloud.

500megs? You should have 5 Gigs free, my account show 5 Gigs.
Storage:
You are currently using 0 MB (0%) of your 5120 MB.
Only stored files (.PDF, .DOC, .JPG, etc.) count towards your storage limit. Google Docs formats don't use up your storage space.
Need more space? Upgrade storage

- Log into gMail
- Select Drive on top menu for page
- Click Setting icon on right top of page and select Settings
- You will see the amount located next to Storage...
This link may work as a direct link after logging into gMail also...

No you do not need to set anything up besides your Google Cloud account, The links I posted is from your gMail account online but if you go straight to your Google Cloud you would go to the 3rd step that covers the Setup button..
OK I see where the confusion is.... You are calling Backup Assistant by the name Cloud where I thought you was talking the new Google Cloud service.... I dont use BA because it is useless... Sorry for misunderstanding.

i never setup the cloud account, as mentioned at 731a, because it required the latest/greatest wmp.
isn't cloud tied into ba, as in ba+? so can you do cloud without ba?

This is all confusing. I've tried vcast; motocast & google. I can see the
data but can't move it from cloud to be accessed by my phone. Probably
going to stop by the Verizon store tomorrow. Thanks for your help all.

I wonder if maybe there is some confustion about what 'cloud' means and what it is. IMHO I would (and do)use more than one service. I've never used BA or BA+, never needed it. I have an account on DropBox and an account on SkyDrive.
Either let you simply tap the file listing to get to it.
DB is only(I think?)5Gb free but SkyDrive gives you 25Gb and that's my primary respository. I also use MotoCast and it's worked extremely well but will probably drop it in favor of SkyDrive.

You can use Cloud without BA, now ask for BA+ I haven't used it to be able to answer the question..
I prefer DropBox because it has the option to sync Photo automatically to Dropbox and I also have a folder that I back my apps to that can be easily synced. Another thing I like is that MyBackup syncs to my Box, DropBox and Google Cloud so backups are not a issue for me.
