Customized Ring Tones

This is my first smart phone and I like it a lot but there is one thing I miss from my old LG phone, and that is that I had the ability to download ringtones and give specific people in my contact list their own special ring tone. Is there an app that will allow me to do this with the Droid Razor?

Ringdroid works well for new users to the Android smartphones.

You don't need a special app.  In the Android 2.3.4 Users Guide (p.118) it says:

  1. Open your contacts or favorites.
  2. Touch the name of a contact in the list to view its details.
  3. Press Menu and touch Options.
  4. In the scrolling list of ringtones that opens, touch the one to play when the contact
  5. calls.The ringtone plays a sample.
  6. Touch OK.

That works for the standard ringtones. I was reading the OP's as they wanted to use custom ringtones and extra steps are needed to get the tones in the ringtone selection list.

Ringdroid will create the proper folders for the Android OS to recognize the folders as containing ringtones.

Okay.  I have ringtones I've made using My Music (Longpress on a song, select Use as Ringtone) and they show up in my list of ringtones which I can then use as above.  Not sure what the OP meant if that's not it, but hopefully one of these suggestions will work.
