My droid will not power up. It has been charging for the last hour and I cannot seem to turn it on. Please help.
Did you let your battery drain all the way down? If so, it will take more than one hour to build up enough charge to turn it on. In fact, it will need at least seven hours for a full charge. I hope that you are using a wall plug and not your computer to charge it. If you are using your computer, it will take forever to recharge since the computer does not have as much energy as a wall plug.
+1 Good advice mortb this is what i was going to Suggest it will take a while if your Maxx has been deeply pulled down..

Have you tried a soft reboot of the device? Hold the Volume Down and the Power button for about 10 seconds and see if that does anything. When my MAXX shuts off because of low battery, I place it on the wall charger, and after about 30 minutes or so, it will turn on while still on the charger.
As Mortb mentioned, it takes around 7 hours to do a full charge.
jfodowd, I'm sorry your Razr Maxx is having issues powering up. The information provided by the community are all great trouble-shooting steps to try and resolve the issues with your phone. Has your phone been damaged physically or by water? This could cause issues with the phone. If you continue to have issues, you can take your phone to a corporate store in the area for an evaluation.
