My droid Turbo gets hot, almost to the point you can't hold it. It started a few months back and I've only had it a year. Does anyone know why?

Verizon wireless to the rescue, Btennant. Let's work on cooling your phone down and prevent any damage to your phone. Although it's perfectly normal for a device to get hot ( specially during use ) to the point you can't hold it is unacceptable. When did your phone start overheating? Do you notice this while performing a specific function? JorgeO_VZWFollow us on Twitter @VZWSupportIf my response answered your question please click the Correct Answer button under my response. Started noticing it about 2 months ago. Seems to be getting worse
BTennant, this is definitely not normal behavior for a Turbo. Let’s figure this out. When does it start to heat up? Does this happen when you use a certain function? It happens when charging or searching the web, it especially gets hot when doing both. It doesn't like games too.
Is it only hot when using it while plugged in?
