The Time on my DROID Turbo randomly changes by hours for a about an hour before switching back
That is very strange, Talldend48. Did this start happening after a particular applocation was installed? Do you notice if the time changes with a particular function on the phone, like a phone call or a message coming in? Please double check the Date and Time settings on your phone http://vz.to/1w8CehN to make sure the right time zone is selected. JenniferH_VZW Follow us on Twitter www.twitter.com/vzwsupport
I'll try to see if it's anything particular but I don't think it is because it comes in batches, will happen a few times over 3 days then be fine for a month. Also happens to my fiance with the same phone at the same times. It might be Verizon sending the wrong time. We are in 19130 area code if anybody can investigate that.
This Monday morning I found that my Droid Turbo had moved back an hour in time. My alarm is set by my phone on my Sonos system so it woke me up an hour later than it should have making me late for work. My phone had correctly moved forward an hour early Sunday for daylight saving time change.
same thing happened to me - one hour late to work. it says i'm in alaska. how do we fix?
My phone moved back to the correct time a little while after I posted that.
lizzie14,We don't want you to be late to work again. Lets get this resolved. If you go to Settings>Date and time does it show you are in the correct time zone? Is automatic data and time along with automatic time zone selected. If all these options are set correctly please uncheck automatic date and time and automatic time zone, then recheck and power cycle the phone. Lets us know if the time changes back.LindseyT_VZWFollow us on Twitter @VZWSupport
Same thing happening here in Albuquerque, NM. I have my phone set to automatically receive time/date from the network. I've tried unchecking & rechecking automatic info, then rebooting the phone. I've looked at setting the zone manually, and the phone only lists Mountain time, not Mountain Daylight Time, and currently the GMT is the same as AZ (which does not recognize DST). After doing a broader search this seems to be a problem being experienced by users, regardless of phone type. And worse, it's completely random. No idea when it's correct & when it's not. This is doesn't seem to be a device problem, but a network problem. When can we expect a fix?
I am also in Albuquerque and my Turbo started doing this on April 4th. Nothing has helped, including factory reset, and if I go in and manually change to the correct time while "Automatic Date & Time" are unchecked, and then check the box for the Automatic Date & Time, my phone switches to the wrong time, which is an hour behind, even though the time zone is correct. This also makes me think it is network related and for some reason is retrieving the wrong time from the network.
If I reboot the phone it will keep the correct time for anywhere from 3 hour to a day, then it does it again. My alarms for school and work are set by my phone, and so this is super frustrating.
Sorry for the delay, AntonioC_VZW.
In my wife & my case, it began withe a trip to El Paso, TX on 03/20/2015. Our phones started reverting back an hour. It seemed to stabilize once we got to Las Cruces, NM. Now, it'll tell the correct time until I get to downtown Albuquerque, NM. In that area, it reverts back an an hour. Once we're back in the periphery of the city, and after we reboot our phones, the correct time is displayed again.
I TRIED WIPING MY CACHE LIKE IT STATES ON THE WEBSITE, BUT THE LITTLE GUY ON HIS BACK JUST SAYS NO COMAND
MY PHONE IS ACTUALLY GOING 4HRS IN ADVANCE
WELL IT LOOKS MY TIME ON MY PHONE ONLY CHANGES WHEN I GET TO WORK. I ALREADY HAVE A TICKET IN, WE THOUGHT IT GOT FIXED. IVE WIPED MY PHONE TO FACTORY SETTINGS, WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?
My Motorola Turbo jumps ahead 3 hours when I'm at home, even though it's still set to my time zone. I have to constantly unchecked the auto time buttons, change it manually. Have tried all your suggestions without a fix. The auto time works fine when not in my neighborhood. So frustrating. No other family members who have Droid phone has this issue nor did I with my Samsung Galaxy. Got this phone in April.
Same issue here with my droid turbo, started last night, have not installed anything recently.
kubiakco,
That's definitely helpful to know. We always want to make sure your time is correct. Can you try turning the phone off, removing the SIM card, then putting the SIM back in and turning the phone back on? Does this only happen at certain times or everywhere?

Turn off phone? Lol. Come on man. This is a widespread problem. Have done all that is mentioned including factory reset. Does not help. I'm in the process of getting a new phone. If that doesn't work I'm leaving verizon.
I have tried many troubleshooting steps so far and none has worked. I have tried everything in this thread and started a new one as this issue seems not to have resolved. In my new thread i have been offered additional diagnostic steps all of which have had no effect.

willwells1,
I'm very glad to hear you have a great new phone on the way. I'm confident that will help and make sure this is resolved. We definitely don't want to see you go anywhere. Just to check, have we tried replacing your SIM card? That could also very possibly be the issue.
I started having this same issue in Santa Clara, Ca today (June 9). Same symptoms as described in all the other posts. For me it has started showing -3 hours as EST (I'm in PST). Phone had been fine since first purchased in January. This stinks! Network time is something that should be infallible, what's going on? Opened a case with Verizon and the tech was ok on the chat session (I figured something must be up because I did not get asked to go through all the turn the phone on and off stuff, take SIM card out, etc), he then ended the chat by saying he'd do some more research and text me back - but no text, no follow up.
Verizon - come on, this has got to work!
Same thing started today for me in Santa Clara as well. Auto Time Zone switches to EST.
Same issue with Droid Turbo in Spokane, WA. My time zone under automatic settings changed to GMT-0900 Alaska instead of Pacific. If I wouldn't have noticed my alarm would be an hour late in the morning! It did this a few days ago randomly, and another time a week ago it advanced the time about 8 hours forward. What is Verizon doing to resolve this? I called technical support but they are closed and no longer available 24/7. (BTW no problem on my wife's iPhone on VZW.)
Same here in Spokane, WA just happened. Time Zone switched from Pacific to Alaska. Only way to get around it was to turn off Automatic Time Zone Updating. Doesn't seem like a phone issue, more of a network issue
Also in Spokane, Moto X. Also in Alaska time zone. Started overnight.
My phone did the same. Made me late to work. A coworker caught her Droid Turbo time zone changed last night. This is my second droid turbo as my first could never keep a correct time & changed all the time. My local Verizon store said it must be a defect with my individual phone and convinced me to give it another try giving me a new one as it was within my 14 days. This one has lasted a couple months before the time changed.
I have restarted the phone. No change.
I have not installed any new apps to affect the change.
This issue did not start after updating/installing a particular application/software
My phone knows my correct location however not the correct time zone.
I have visited my local Verizon store and they don't know what to do. They looked at it checked the settings and said that it just needs to stay on the manually set time zone. I have now manually set my phone to the correct time zone but I do not see this as a good enough fix. I travel and want my phone to automatically change as I travel. I am also afraid that the time will change even in the manually set time zone just as my previous phone did.
Verizon... this is does not seem like it is an individual phone issue but across the board for the droid turbo.

My Verizon turbo started doing this yesterday. Turning it off does no good
