Droid shuts down and can't restart

My droid just turns off and I can't get it to start up. I charged it, alarm went off this morning, not a charging issue but I can't turn it on now. I tried the soft reset and the green light just turns off and on, but nothing comes up on the screen. Any ideas?

I had this problem when the phone was hooked to my PC usb port. I thought it would charge it like my girlfriend's phone does, but it seemingly drained the battery and all I got was a green light. I charged it on a regular charger and it took care of the problem. Not sure if this helps in your particular situation, but I've noticed that plugging in to different USB ports produces different results. Maybe worth a shot trying a different cord or outlet?
