How do you get email addresses in your phone book to pop up with the phone contacts when sending pics to email and phone contacts? It used to on Revolution and fascinate but now just shows all my phone contacts and not people with email addresses
Is this for the text message app?
Stock phone apps, when I click on picture to share and pick text message on the Razr it brings up phone contacts with just phone numbers and no email addresses where my Revolution and Fascinate would bring up both and I would send pic message to some phones along with some email addresses.

bulldog, if I understand correctly, the issue is that if you pick "text message" the Razr is only going to show you contacts phone numbers because that's how text messages are sent - to phone numbers. But if you pick the email icon, you will get contacts with email addresses because that's how those messages are sent.
If my understanding of your problem is correct, I think that functionality is a software design constraint so that you don't select a contact that is not able to receive the type of message (text or email) you are sending.
Sally I forgot to mention I am using the Go msm pro app now and it is one that brings up phone book but not with email addresses like my phone book is. The stock phone app doesn't even do that, when I want to message especially send pics to multiple phones and email addresses it comes up with blank box where I have to start typing a name to bring up contacts with the first letters so that really is bad. When sending pics with my old Revolution or Fascinate I would click messaging and my complete phone book would pop up and I could check the ones I wanted phones and or email addresses. It is so hard to write what I'm trying to say but maybe you will understand this one? I hope. Thanks
You might want to check the settings in the stock text message application. There could be a settings limiting the application from displaying or accessing contact information beyond the phone numbers.
Or any other text message application might also have an option to show just the phone number and hide the email addresses.
Well Ann on stock it wont even display the phone book. Went into VZW and salesman had same phone and didn't know how to change it. He said he didn't do much messaging or pics so he couldn't help. What about Handcent app do you know anything about that one. I have seen you help way back when I had Fascinate so I know you come up with the right solution most times.
I wish SOMEONE would come up with a solution to this!
I also use GO SMS PRO. Previously I used Chomp and it had the same problem!
With my phone's 'stock' text messaging, when I started typing a contact's name - all of their phone numbers AND email addresses would come up.
Now, only the phone numbers show. Sometimes I like to send pics (or notes) to my email but when I start typing in my own contact name, it only comes up with my mobile number. Very frustrating
I would say it's because the way the Vender has the app set up. In the Setting Menu there might be a Setting that allows for more Contacts to Pop up but i don't use this app as i use the Stock one. But that were i would Look..b33
Have you tried Handcent SMS from Play Store? I use it and it should do what you want.
