My razr maxx is frozen - and I cannot take the battery out or reset.  Help????

The battery isn't removable on the Razr.

There is a process to force a shut down using the volume down button and the power button. It has been posted several times in other discussions within the DROID Razr section of this community.

The the Batteries on the Razr and the Razr Maxx is Non removable Type!  the reason is because there stuck to the Razr by double sided tape an there contacts are screwed to the board.  You could pull the batteries Ann but you would void the Warranty big time plus you would muck up the case trying to get it off unless you have the Correct Set of Tools. So that's why they came out with The instructions i have put on here..

Note A soft reset is the most useful tool for resolving a variety of issues. In most cases, a soft reset will not affect data on the device, unless the battery is very low.

  1. Press and hold the Power button.

  2. Select Power off.
    Power off
  3. Press and momentarily hold the Power button to power the device on.

  1. Press and hold power button+volume down key until the device powers off then release.
