My connection to the phone is not a tight connection. When I move the phone I lose the connection with my TV. Has anyone had this problem? Do I need to buy the HDMI dock to stop this from happening?

The issue that your having definitely sounds like it's related to the hardware hookup to your TV. There are a few tips that I would recommend to ensure a stable connection:
1) Ensure you place the device on a flat surface which will minimize movement.
2) Ensure you are pressing in the HDMI cable firmly on both the TV and the RAZR.
