Hi, I want to buy the Droid Turbo device however I will be going abroad and using the device in UK, on a carrier there (three mobile) Can I purchase this phone out right and simply use my sim card when I get there? Or will I have to get it unlocked by Verizon before I leave? Many Thanks

I would make sure that the system updates are installed on the phone while connected to the Verizon Wireless network before leaving the USA. It is unlikely that an update would install while connected to a foreign carrier.

DO NOT get a Droid Turbo. I purchased one in November for $600.00. It is now lying on the bar unused because it is a piece of junk! Will not ring. Nothing fixes it. I had to have my service moved to an old phone to make sure I did not miss any emergency calls as I am on the road all the time. Verizon nor Motorola will do any thing about it. I have a folder full of emails from other people that have the same problem with it. When you call Verizon or Motorola about it, everyone is brain dead and knows nothing about the problem even though hundreds of people have complained. I think it is time for all of the "Droid Turbo" junk owners to contact Mr. Lowell McAdams, CEO, and see if he is as brain dead as the people that work for him. Do not purchase this phone.

I am getting the same run around from Verizon about my droid turbo...I have done factory reset twice, hard reset almost daily, got a new SIM card, spent countless hours on the phone with them and in the store and I keep getting told them same stuff..."not much we can do about it, but if you want out that will be a billion dollars....and then on here you post something looking for help and ppl attack you and VZW reps never respond. I am moving to a new carrier asap
