I just bought the Droid Razr today, I can't figure out how to remove an app from the home screen once it's added, Can anyone help?
I have a different Android model, but it might be the same: Long-press on the app until you see a trash can, then drag and drop.
(It will remain in your app drawer ... you can always add it later.)
Thanks! You're a life saver haha, that was driving me crazy! : )
Happy to help! :smileyhappy:
Thanks - that did it. But I didn't think to look at the TOP of the screen; there I found the trash can!
Next Question: I just put Comcast into the trash - does that mean that it's gone - or is it just off of my homepage? When I looked for it via my apps, I couldn't find it. It wasn't under Comcast or email.
It should just be off your home page. If you check in "My Accounts", you should notice it there, The trashcan you see is a "delete icon from screen" icon only. To delete an apps from your cell phone, you must tap on the menu key. Than Settings>Applications>Manage Applications. Next, scroll to the apps you wish to delete, tap on it and a delete option will appear. I should mention that the delete option will not appear on any system file, pre-installed apps, or any other file needed to run the phone. It only appears on the apps you put into the phone (downloaded apps).
I followed your directions:
Settings: Apps:Manage Applications, but Comcast isn't included, so I cannot uninstall it. HELP :~(
