You need to go into the Settings of the text app itself and change the notification sound.

Getting your alerts for new messages are extremely helpful. Let’s make sure you can be notified of new messages. Are you referring to your text messages, emails, or other messages? What model phone do you have?

IT is my husbands phone and he has a droid Maxx. He wants a sound to occur when he receives a text. If we change the notifications then it changes to all notifications
