How do I set visual voice mail to show the text as default?

i have the basic visual voice mail.  When I get a message and click on the notification, it takes me to the player to listen to it.  How do it set it so I see the text instead?  At least, how do I see the text from the app?

You won't see the text in BASIC Visual Voicemail.  The transcription feature is only available in the Premium ($2.99 a month) version.
