In the email app, the trash can switches from left to right depending whether you're looking at a message list or an individual message.
If you start to compose an email and abandon it, "OK" is on the right and "Cancel" is on the left - the opposite of how it used to be, and of every other software I've ever seen.
When answering the phone, the position of red and green buttons is reversed depending whether the screen is locked when the call comes in.
No consistency at all. What gives?

Yes, but my question is why? I'm hoping someone intelligent from Verizon reads these boards and will realize how stupid these particular changes were before the next update.

You have to remember that the main OS functions DO NOT come from Verizon, they come from Google. They setup the OS, so these "Gesture Changes" came from them. They are trying to align it with their Tablet market so there is 1 build of an OS for phone and tablet.
I'm sorry that you do not like these changes, but it makes it interesting learning the subtle differences....

Exactly. Seems like ICS does a lot of things differently just for the sake of being different.

Different isn't necessarily bad, it is just "Different".

I can't even get my emails any more. One screen says set up new account, then when I do, message says " Account already added." I really hate this ICS crap.

What app are you using to view your email, and what app to set it up?

Developing apps is reiterative process, not just change for the sake of change. Each app goes thru a strategy review as it is designed. In some cases functions are reversed or moved to other areas as the overall design is orchestrated. Alignment to other devices is also key. Standardization is a good thing from a support standpoint, yes, users suffer the effects of these changes. As long as your responses to the changes are logically based and there is a significant volume of users complaining about specific issues, these will eventually be heard and re-considered. Suggestion - if you have a problem Give it a title, explain the issue, describe how it should work or specifically what is not working. This will assist others with similar issues to jump on board your mission to get the issue resolved. Verbally bashing the vendor in general terms does not improve your chances of being heard. FYI - I do not work for any of these companies, just stating customer service rational for getting something fixed.
