I used to do that every 4-6 weeks with my Fascinate, it seemed to help with battery life on it. I would let it shut off, and then charge it while it was powered off.
I have done it once with my MAXX and I didn't see any problems with it afterwards.
Anyone else have an opinion?
The best thing to do is let it get down to Just were the Red Light starts Flashing then Hook it Up.. Hey by the N.D.U hows it the Os working on your Maxx so far I was going to Send a Direct Message and ask But that option wasn't Available.. If you want go to Actions Check Allow then i can send you one that way and it makes the Mods less Irritable because of off top Questions on Here...b33
Thank yall very much !!!!!
BB is there anyway i can add as you as a friend ?
Partial discharges are always better than full discharges with Lithium Ion batteries. Only reason to really drain it is if it seems that your battery meter isn't accurate. Maybe once every couple months is usually enough.

Thank you very much PJNC284 have a great day bud :smileyhappy:!
The LIO batteries don't develop a 'memory' like the older batteries did. It shouldn't hurt to fully discharge them or charge them all the time. Although they don't have 'memory issues, they do have life span issues related to the number of times they can be charged. I've read different values on different batteries but you should get 2K (5 years of once a day charging) charges from a typical LIO battery. I have had cell phone batteries that didn't last 2 years before failing and my wife has a regular LG phone going on three years with no issues.
