Issues with new Droid Razr...

The LED notification light is not working; I cannot login to Verizon Wireless, and the phone does not always ring when called.

I'd guess you have a bad phone. If you're within guarantee period I'd return it to the store. Have you tried a factory restore?

You can return it to the store then, you are well withing the worry-free guarantee period. I'd do this post-haste - no reason you should be saddled with a suspect device!

I did TWO factory resets. Verizon sent me a new Droid Razr yesterday, and the same issue exists... The led notification light will not work properly for emails, texts, calls, etc. It blinks one time when the text, etc. comes in initially and that is it!!!

That's bizarre. I'm going to plunk around on mine and see what it does, I only sporadically glance at the LED but I'll do some testing.

I want to sort of re-cap this thought ok?
No 3rd party software installed at all.
After a factory reset with no settings changed
Only one flash from the LED...right?

Txt and email the same result...right?

Yes, the Verizon associate and I tested a text yesterday with the new phone directly after signing in before any apps were downloaded or updated. Texts and email are the same.

This is weird. Mine blinks until it's acknowledged. I don't even see a setting anywhere to enable/disable it at all, other than in Touchdown which I use for corporate sync(ActiveSync)

A little googling turns up an app called 'Light Flow' which let's you assign different colors for different notifications...admittedly, that's not a solution for your issue though...I'm going to let it roll around my brain pan awhile, maybe something will come to 'light'

Yes, for grins and giggles, I installed light flow on the first phone, and it did not make a difference. I have also tried both the generic installed email program and K-9 mail…

What about the other issues? Incoming ring and logging in to VZW?
Is this your first smartphone? Reason I ask, if it isn't, then I'm wondering if when you set up your google account something was automatically restored that's causing this...you know, google does the backup/restore thing.

No, I upgraded from a droid that had the pullout keyboard.

I still can’t log into VZW from the phone.

I am not aware of any missed calls, but I just received the replacement yesterday.

OK I just got my new razor and I am having same problems notification light not working and can't get cox email setup says server problems I have K9 setup and it is working for email. I am going back to store again this morning. Maybe I should of kept my old droid.

Well went to store and was told for last 30 days or so there has been a problem with cox email and they are working on it. I think before laying out the money they would of told me. I am not happy with the results from verizon at the moment. I am sitting with a phone that i can't get email. I have k9 and it will load a few and then say no sync. about ready to go back to my old droid,

the store & cs don't know how to set-up cox email, nothing wrong with cox.
