I have been unable to have a clear phone conversation using the bluetooth in my car with my razr phone. During a conversation the phone will turn on the speaker phone by itself and turn off bluetooth. The conversation can still be heard inside my car but this creates a loud echo. At some point it also makes a loud screaching sound (like what a mic does when it is turned up too loud). If there isn't an echo on my end then the person I am talking to here's an echo. I travel 70 miles a day and really want to find a fix or work around for this issue. This is my third droid phone but first motorola, and I haven't had a problem with using my phones with my car bluetooth in the past. If I can't get it working I may have to return the phone Thanks for any help!!

Try shutting your Car Audio = stereo off an see if it performs Better. An Try this Go in your settings > Wireless & Networks then to Bluetooth Settings Scroll down to were your bluetooth device is an Press on the Screen until a Square Box comes up Connect , Unpair ,Options will show up touch unpair an to unpair the Device when done Get out of the Screen by hitting the Home button then do a Soft reset on the Phone then Go back an Re-pair the Device together See if that Helps Any.. let us know if that works or Not. b33

I tried both items and have gotten the same response. I downloaded the new software to my device and was told by tech support that it should help. It didn't so I got the phone exchanged, hoping that it was just a bad phone. If I put the phone to my head I notice that the mic is still on. I believe the issue is that the audio on the phone does not turn off while the bluetooth is on. I am willing to try anything else to fix this.

Amaris when your on the Bluetooth Take you Phone an with it Pointing at you just give the power button a tap that should wake up the Display an you may have to move the lock Panel but once that is done if you see the Speaker Phone on just tap it to shut the speaker phone Off...b33

It does the exact same thing whether the speaker phone button is lit or not. Like I said above...this issue is that the mic on the phone is still on while the bluetooth in my car is on.... That should not be happening. The speaker phone button light will turn on and off on it's on and the bluetooth light does the same. I will turn the speaker off and the bluetooth back on but there is still an echo and the person on the other end struggles to hear me. Maybe it is my car and the phone not being compatible. I have a few more days before I have to make a decision about returning the device.

May or may not apply but does Infiniti offer any updates for your head unit? I have Sync in my F150 and they often provide updates that you apply through the USB port.
Just a thought...
