Looking for some advice

My wife and I have been Droid X owners for the last 2 years. After all the issues we had with this phone (random keyboard crashes, random phone resets, and frozen music apps) I'm a little hesitant about getting another motorola. Ironically, the last update for the droid x finally made it stable enough to be enjoyable to use most of the time.

I primarily use my phone for txt messaging, web surfing on wifi, phone calls and listening to music, mostly bluetooth to my car stereo. Does the maxx have any issues with any of that? Have any droid X owners upgraded to the maxx? Has motorola gotten any better with their software?

Any thoughts are appreciated

Thanks jim. Do you bluetooth music to your car stereo. I've read some people have had crackling issues from the speakers. It's one of the main things i do and thankfully the droid x does a good job now that the music app works.

I' m a Droid X owner an a Razr Maxx Owner i still think the world of my X an wouldn't part with it un less the Offer was at my Liking why you ask? well my Droid X looks as good as the Day i took it out of the box an it's had minor issues over the 2 years of service an i could use a little better Camera & i miss the fact it's missing the 4G radio that Maxy has but other than that it's Done great Job.

Now for my Maxx i bought it February 2 got it by FedEx on the 6 as they were totally out of them here in my Area Actually it was an 150 mile area they moved the Units they had in stock very swiftly so as i said mine was Shipped to me witch i wasn't to worried about i give it a good look over maid sure everything was in the box an then i charged it up. When it finished i went threw the Normal Set up an installed the Sim Card by it's Edges so as to not touch the Gold Area of it as is Very Sensitive to Static Electricity.

But once that was all done Is when i really put her through the Paces i done the Normal stuff you do with a new phone putting things in it my Contacts Apps setting up my Accounts an while doing this i watch the Battery Life witch for the first 6 Hours the battery never dropped from the Full Line i was impressed write Off but it was long day for me and i conked out! big time an she was on my Chest an when i woke i thought were's my phone at! An my Maxx was right there an with only a 1/4 of the Battery Used. So i thought i am going to hook it up to my Ear phones an stream some Winamp an that's what i Did I played the 70s Uninterrupted for 16 straight an i still had some Battery left.

I have only had a Few minor Issues with my Maxx non that are to wear it needs to be replaced or anything like that. I'm not in totally in love with External speaker it's a little on the High Pitch an snappy side. And i think they could have done better job Designing it but other phones out there are pretty close to the same as this one is. An some of it is my hearing is really sharp But with the E.Q. App that can help improve it allot. An as for the Camera it's fast an Snappy an does a good job! Even for indoor Shots an i really like the Front Facing Camera as it took some really neat Family shots of my Cousins Wedding. An for my Wallpaper i have a K.O.I Fish pond as my Live Wallpaper an they updated the app just Recently an now when you touch the screen the K.o.i Scoot along.

To end the Maxx in my mind is a Great phone i wished when Motorola came out with it. they would've used the Droid X's body style as i like the way the X is made but each phone needs it's own look an Character in my hands it can be on the slippery side as my hand are Small but with a Case it a Bunch. Now as for a Show stopper if you get one you have to get a HD STATION to go with it as i was impressed again with what this phone can Do. I got the Station with the USB ports an out jack for Music an HDMI for Hi Deph tv's. An i tell when you can take your Mouse that you have for your Computer an the Keyboard for it as well an hook the mini Receivers in USB's an use them on the Phone that's impressive. So i don't know if i Helped to bring ya closer to getting one or Not but i think you won't go wrong doing it. It's up to you an you have a 14 day Test Drive at Verizon.

Now i was Told by a Manager at Best buy they give a 30 day trial an if your not satisfied with it you can get another Model an if you not satisfied with it you can do the same thing he went on to say we sell there plans an all. But we go by our Return Policy on the phones as we buy them from Verizon So you can return as many as you like as long as you have all the stuff & box that came with the phone an the Sales Receipt.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I will definitely be taking a long look

at the maxx at the end of the month. I just didn't want to get stuck with a

glitchy phone for another two years.
