Verizon messaging and a number of things very slow after update. phone much slower in a lot of areas also since the upgrade.

Mine also periodically crashes the launcher, particularly if I have Uber Driver and Lyft apps open at the same time, or Message+ open with Facebook.

Apps are always - stopped responding. Facebook app, chrome.

Clearing the cache partition is a good step.
Another option that would likely help is to clear the apps cache - Settings, App Manager, clear app cache. Clearing the cache will not remove your settings and data, but will make things run a bit smoother. You can do this at any time if the phone seems sluggish, but especially after a system update.

I followed the steps for Ver. 6 on this site Clear the Cache Partition - Droid Turbo 2 and my phone has got it's speed back!

I've wrestled with this for months. Cleared cache partition, and other items with no change. Did a full factory reset and problem solved. It's a pain, but worth it. Phone acts like new again. Just do it!!!
