My new Razr Maxx

Ive had my maxx for 4 days now and have been pleased with it so far. The only real issue  ive had is a low volume issue which i can live with.Ive had several different smartphones and have learned they all have issues some more than others. It amazes me at how they can package all the high tech stuff that these phones can do into something of that size and  have it work at all. Im a avid reader of these boards and really cant believe that some of the minor issues people are having seems to be life threatening. For example actuall available memory. Every major carrier and manufacturer advertises its products basically the same way so its not a verizon or motorolla issue its all of them. Ive learned alot of helpful info on these boards as im sure most have. I love my new phone and hope its as good or even close to be as good as my other verizon phones which include 2 lgs 2 samsungs 1iphone and now a motorola.  Everyone have a pleasant day           Jesse

Jaxle67 Go to the Google Play store an get the E.Q. app they offer it for Free or a Paid Version for $1.99 or $2.99  with this App you can do some adjustments that i think will help with your Low Volume Give it Try an let me Know what you thing I have it on both of my Droids they are a Droid X an Razr Maxx. This app will also make your Music sound a hole allot better.   B33

Ive tried the free version of volume plus i think it was and it seemed to help a little. I will give the free version of the eq app you suggest to see if it improves before i go for the paid version.. Thanks for your reply. How have you  liked the maxx so far  and dislikes.. Jesse

Jesse you are correct it is not life threatening but you are wrong if you think every carrier uses half of the gross capacity and only offers half of the advertised capacity to the user.  Verizon is the ONLY carrier I have come across that so blatantly advertises twice the available memory.  Show me another major carrier who does this. If the 16GB iPhone only offered 8GB to the end users I think all the Apple fanboys would be rioting in the street.  And yes the SD card makes the memory on this phone limitless so it is not a huge deal to lose 8GB of internal...I just think its wrong...

There are alot of things about the MAXX I like but I honestly am not getting anywhere close to 21 hours of talk time.  Mine dies after 6...now if being lied to and deceived is ok with you then thats not my concern.  But if I am sold something with the promise of 21 hours of talk time and I can only get 6 then I tend to be a little upset.   But hey you live and learn right???

@JP:  It all depends what your APP's your running on your Maxx an your Settings you have it on get this app it's called Circle Battery app it not only shows you your battery level but it will also will show you what is consuming the battery the most. It could be how long your Time out is on the Display to how high the setting is on the Display like on mine my Display i have it set on 10 to 15% an the Automatic Brightness is set to Off. An there are more i have done on Maxx to Mention on here for one's to Care about Reading. So i will leave it at this you can get every little trickle out of that batter but you just have to Tinker with settings an Smart Actions is a good place to Start.

the app you said you got i never have tried it out but if it's proving good service for ya that's good an as for E.Q. i know it's good an all you have to do is as Wildman what his thoughts are on it. He told me about it when it first came out about a little over a year ago. An i have used it ever Since an i got the paid version 3months after trying the Free Version. So you might give it a Try if the other doesn't pan out. Good luck with it An have Fun with new Maxx. B33

Well after recieve my Razr Maxx I ran a test. While it was at a 100% charge I started a call. The call lasted for 14hr 45 min. I was texting and surfing the web on wifi during these times as well so the battery description seems quite accurate. I am satisfied with the device. I think everyone should stop complaining and just deal with what you have. I am in no way defending Verizon. I am just saying stop whining and be happy with what you have.

Jp you are right about wanting what you pay for  but in my experience it has always been that you hardly ever do and thats not limited to phones. But hey to each his own so do what it takes to make yourself happy .  I wish my only issue was truth in advertising .If it was i would be a happy man. My ex wife troubles me alot more than a telephone or anything else i can think of right off. Good luck to you regardless
