That seems like a long time to charge the phone .. Are you using the stock battery charger in the Wall outlet?
As far as what's sucking life from the battery, that depends on a lot of different things. Do you have a lot of Widgets installed that auto-update all the time? Are you auto-updating News, Email, Weather, et al ??? Do you have the screen set to 100% or AUTO ? That can strain the battery life. You can try running in SAFE MODE for a day or some lenght of time to see how it responds - and thus rule out 3rd party apps. .. You can see the top users of the battery by Settings / Battery Information / Battery Use .. what is using the battery???? I've been on battery for 6+ hours and have 88% left ... but I've also not been doing a whole lot with it today ... 2 phone calls, some web surfing, email, and some texting.

Thanks Cody
I dont have many apps that r updating.. i'm not sure what u mean about the screen or safe mode?? Sounds like you have a good battery.i see 88% after i unplug it, less than an hour later. I'm down to 56% now. I called Verizon, they told me there is a problem with my battery, I'm going to Verizon in the AM to get a new one.
Thank for your help.

That's Correct it will take 4 to 41/2 to charge it Weather You do it by Home or Car Charger and i usually go a total of 6 hours on mine because i trickle charge it a couple hours over an that's with the phone off And then i will pull the Maxx Down to were the light Flashes. But i have had my Maxx since Feb.6 and i haven't changed the charging time since..Now there's one on here that might Tell ya he charges his in an Hour! might be he's related to Tim Allen.

4-4.5 hours ?? Wow ... Mine charges all the way from as low as 35% to 100% in about 2 hours. I've yet to run it down to "flashing alert" ... Maybe I'll give that a try some day.

Hi Cody,
Update, I went to Verizon today. I explained the problems with the battery. They told me that was normal, I told then that's not acceptable. Then They wanted to give me a refurbished phone.the p[hone is 10 days old. after the second visit to the manager, she came back with a new phone. In a 24 hour period the phone was off last night (7hrs) the battery was at 33%. and Verizon says that normal. I'm going to give new one a try.I'll charge it tonight.to see how fast the battery goes down.
Thanks

As i told Cody 4 to 5 Hours is Very Normal if your pull your Battery Down to when the Red light Flashes you have a Big Battery in that phone an if you do not Turn it off it's going to Take longer Because the phone is Running an Charging at the Same time. You want to cut Down the Charging time to were it's 4 hours for a full charge shut the phone down you want to do a Partial Charge in 2 hours same thing..

Yea i always charge my Maxx an then pull it down to were the red light is blinking Cody So it will get a Good Charging Cycle on it. I done this as well with my Droid X an my Incredible actually it's practice i have done as far back to when i had my Nokia's in the early 90's..
