Just got service. When I took my Razr out to activate, it connected to 4G. After that it will only connect via 3g. I am in a 4G area so what's up? Speed tests are pretty bad for 3g compared to my last provider.
You might try re-establishing the connection with the network ... turn off the phone, remove the SIM card, and wait a few minutes. Then reinsert the SIM card and power the phone back on; hopefully that'll help.
That doesn't do anything. Not new to smartphones, just verizon. I have been using smartphones since the first windows CE smartphone that came out 10 years ago.
Where are you located. Are you trying to connect indoors. If you're in a weak 4G area you might to get it indoors. Exactly how did you activate it?
Have you tried going into Settings/More/Network Mode and ensure it is set to LTE/CDMA? That's the best setting I've found for getting 4G.
