No sound From Droid Razr Max

Seen lots of other folks having this issue. No sound from speaker all of a sudden. Can lightly press back of phone and sound appears for a while but then stops working again. I need SOUND as I use my phone to wake for work. Please help! Waiting on 6am to call verizon.

I have heard of this issue but haven't had it happen to mine. Mine does at times have a little snapping sound but other that it hasn't shown this issue. I put a link to a Video that shows what the Underside looks like but Speaker it self is that Big in Size about the Diameter of a Dime thickness is about half the size of a Certs Mint.. I recently updated my phone and this just happened to me and I have the Droid Razr. All of a sudden I have no sound coming from my phone. All sounds levels are up as high as they will go. Can't play videos from youtube or ones I take w/phone, no sound for texts, emails, touchpad, etc. BUT I found if I use the headset I have sound. This is odd - why would I use my ipod earphones for my phone on a regular basis?!

There are some other quirks w/the update but nothing that I can't adjust to while I have phone under contract...but I NEED sound from my phone! All it does is vibrate.

Can anyone Help? I will see about calling Verizon this morning.

That would probably be a Good idea but i would say with the Issues that your Experiencing you will Need to do a F.D.R..And Tech is the Best at Walking you Through one.. You will need to use another Phone So they can Trouble Shoot your Razr With you Here is there No. 1-800-922-0204 use Option 3 and when they Ask what you need assistance for Just say i would like to Talk to a Representative. You will need to Know your Account and things like that but you'll be Fine Done this More than Once there good to Help on things Like this.. Good Luck to Ya.. Thanks B33! I did call Verizon and they walked me through a normal reboot, a factory reboot and even an ultimate reboot (similar to a computer system restore) - nothing worked to get the sound to come out of the phone. I could still hear the sound through earphones but not from the phone itself. For now I'll leave it on vibrate because then at least I know I have an incoming call, text, etc. Without vibrate it's just silent.

They're sending me out a new phone, arriving tomorrow, because they said the factory and ultimate reboots should have restored the sound.
