Pin unlock and download cloud

I forgot my pin to unlock my phone. I have an elipse tablet so able to access all information, just can't call out. I didnt know I couldn't reset my pin same as password, but no, must factory reset. My question is: If I factory reset, can I download my current information from my verizon cloud, or do I loose it when I factory reset. Also, does the elipse loose all information when I reset. Hope someone can help me.
