Problems signing in to My Verizon app.

I'm using the same password and username as I do to log in on the website but it says

"Connection to server could not be established. Please make sure device connection is enabled and you have good reception. If the issue persists, please contact Customer Care. Error Code 1001"

I have good reception and I'm using wifi. I dont understand the "make sure device connection is enabled" though. I'm trying to get on there to pay my bill.  I know i can pay it on this website, but I'm not always around a computer, and would like to be able to pay through my phone. Thanks in advance!

That is no fun clintonmeade40! Are you still having trouble logging in the application? Try to clear the cache in the application by going to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > My Verizon > Clear Cache > Force Close. Once complete, go back to the application and try to log in. Let us know if the issue persists!

What is the fix for this? I did the instructions above and rebooted the phone. I am still getting the error 1001. I can send to the phone and it will connect to download that way but I can not sign in from the phone.

"Contact customer service" new customer as of yesterday and I can not find a flippin number or live chat anywhere on the site. Man did I do the right thing?

You can Go to Apps-->Downloaded Scroll up to M.V. App then Enter Clear the Cache Then the Data Then hit the Home Button Then i would do a Soft Reset)  Bottom Volume Down & Power at the Same Time till the Phone powers off by it self Let off the Buttons. It will Re-power. Once this is all done Re-try the app..
